|Description:||Tai Chi is a graceful, but firm set of movements designed to enhance flexibility, balance and strength for overall improvement of fitness and wellness. Tai Chi is also a form of moving meditation that helps relieve stress.
This summer the Phillips Library will sponsor Tai Chi lessons for adults taught by Dr. Mike Kniffin, retired Associate Professor from SUNY Cortland’s Department of Physical Education. Instruction will focus on the standard 24 short set form of Tai Chi popular in China and practiced around the world.
Lessons are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 – 9:30 am starting June 22nd and will run for six weeks. Lessons will be conducted outdoors behind the library. COVID safety protocols will be followed including social distancing. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
